Shifa Foundation & SZABIST promoting Volunteerism & Professionalism

Volunteers are very Nobel beings who wholeheartedly serve humanity without asking for anything in return. Volunteers are often not fully appreciated. Very few organizations acknowledge their volunteers’ efforts with certifications and provide them the opportunity to learn skills in an organizational environment.

Finding this as a huge gap in society. Shifa Foundation signed an MoU with the SZABIST Islamabad campus to honor and promote volunteerism among students.

The ceremony was held in Islamabad on 2nd August. Addressing the ceremony Mr. Taimoor Shah, Chief Operating Officer of Shifa International Hospital and member BoG Shifa Foundation emphasized on it by saying We should promote the essence of philanthropy and volunteerism and help the underprivileged communities. He also hoped that the MoU should be transformed into action to help the most marginalized and underprivileged people.

According to Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan, head of the Islamabad campus, SZABIST, SZABIST in collaboration with Shifa Foundation will strive for the socio-economic development of Pakistan. Further, Mr. Khansa Zaman, Manager EDC/ ERFA SZABIST added that he hoped that both the organization will promote volunteerism and utilize their services for the betterment of the future of Pakistan.

Shifa Foundation has wide geographic coverage and presence in the country and is providing services in the field of health, food and nutrition, water and sanitation, climate change, DRR, child protection, and COVID response. Says Dr. Khadeeja Azhar, Director Shifa Foundation.

Due to this Shifa Foundation have over thousands of Registered Volunteers who are working with this organization on various projects and campaigns. through volunteers’ support & efforts, Shifa Foundation has been able to pull successful events in the past.

Shifa Foundation appreciates its volunteers’ efforts and hopes to work with them for the betterment of underprivileged communities in Pakistan.
