PAKISTAN ECHO FLOOD RESPONSE FAIR MIRPURKHAS

Background:  With the support of Care International, Shifa Foundation is carrying out the Pakistan Echo Flood Response Fair Project in the Mirpurkhas district, SINDH. The project has been specifically designed to provide prompt and essential assistance to the population affected by the floods. Its objective is to enhance the living conditions of the communities affected by the floods in the targeted district by addressing their immediate needs which include the provision of cash grants, temporary pit latrines, health and hygiene promotion sessions, distribution of hygiene kits and temporary shelter kits, and the establishment of child and women-friendly spaces. The project also includes assistive devices and solar lights and aims to strengthen the referral mechanism for vulnerable people in the targeted district

Deliverables:

• 50 household level latrines to be installed
• 1,500 health and hygiene kits & 1500 Jerry cans to be distributed
• 500 Aqua Tabs to be distributed.
• Distribution of 150 temporary shelter kits and 15 assistive devices
• Conduct 100 awareness sessions on health and hygiene
• 250 solar lights were distributed,
• Extalishment of 1 child-friendly space/women-friendly space
