Free medical camps held for the underprivileged in Khewra and Haripur

Shifa Foundation organized free medical camps on 18th March 2018 for underprivileged people in the remote areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.


With the sponsorship of Senator Talha Mahmood Foundation, a ‘Free Eye-Care Camp’ was organized at village Pind Muneem, district Haripur, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. During the camp, over 350 persons were screened, 200 needy patients were provided with the glasses and respective medicines were disbursed to almost 100 patients.


“Despite the fact that my eyes were badly affected, I was unable to afford glasses. But now, I am thankful to the joint efforts of team Shifa & Talha Mahmood Foundation for donating me these glasses,” Azeema Bibi, a 54 years patient, said with teary eyes.

Another camp was organized at Khewra Salt Mines, district Jhelum, where 150 people received general checkup, diabetes screening and medicines. The camp was organized in collaboration with Rotary Club and Accu-Chek.


Shifa Foundation regularly organizes health based activities and medical camps to make basic health services accessible to all. The organization puts special emphasis on the health, nutrition and basic human rights of impoverished communities across Pakistan.
