Shifa Foundation works with communities, government institutions and development partners to respond to immediate needs while strengthening systems, knowledge and resilience for the long term.
Health and nutrition remained at the centre of Shifa Foundation’s work. Integrated programmes screened children, pregnant and lactating women, treated acute malnutrition, delivered micronutrients and vaccinations, supported antenatal and postnatal care, and engaged caregivers with practical health and feeding guidance.
The Integrated Flood Response in Balochistan alone reached more than 845,000 people through static and mobile nutrition and health services, helping communities recover with dignity and stronger local resilience.

Early screening, treatment, counselling and family support helped malnourished children regain strength while giving caregivers the knowledge and confidence to protect their children’s health.
Integrated nutrition services combined clinical care with community-based support and behaviour change.
Shifa Foundation advanced child protection and mental health in schools by promoting positive discipline, strengthening teachers’ interaction skills and creating more inclusive, nurturing learning environments.
The programme combined training, structured interviews, counselling, research and student engagement to support evidence-based education and protection reform.

After positive-discipline training, a teacher replaced fear and punishment with praise, dialogue and participation-helping children become more confident and engaged.
The programme linked education, child protection and mental health to create safer learning spaces.
In flood-affected communities, Shifa Foundation combined immediate nutrition assistance with livelihood recovery, agriculture training, kitchen gardening, cash support and disaster-risk awareness.
This integrated approach helped vulnerable households improve dietary diversity, rebuild productive capacity and become more resilient to future economic and climate shocks.

Livelihood training, kitchen gardening and nutrition support gave flood-affected families practical tools to recover today and withstand future shocks.
The programme connected food security, maternal and child nutrition, livelihoods and climate resilience.
Through the Centre of Philanthropy and Community Services (COPCS), Shifa Foundation connected donors, volunteers, institutions and communities to life-saving healthcare, food assistance, clean water and humanitarian support.
Transparent resource mobilisation and strategic partnerships ensured that financial barriers did not prevent vulnerable families from accessing essential care and support.

A hand pump can mean safer water for children, dignity for women and more time for families to learn, work and care for one another.
The Sip of Life initiative expanded access to clean drinking water in underserved communities.
Shifa Centre of Professional Excellence (SCOPE) strengthened healthcare education through continuing medical education, training and development, life-support training, research and ethics.
Accredited learning, hands-on workshops, national and international credit hours, clinical research and external collaborations helped improve professional competence and the quality of care.

Evidence-based education and hands-on training bridge knowledge gaps, strengthen clinical practice and support safer, higher-quality care.
SCOPE combines education, skills development, life-support training, research and ethics.
Partnerships are at the heart of Shifa Foundation’s work across Pakistan. We collaborate with government institutions, United Nations agencies, international donors, development partners, civil society, academia, the private sector, philanthropists, volunteers and local communities to deliver accountable results, strengthen health and social systems, and build resilient communities.
