Pink Lady Campaign 

Breast cancer is the top cancer in women worldwide and is increasing particularly in developing countries where the majority of cases are diagnosed in late stages. Almost 50% of breast cancer cases and 58% of deaths occur in less developed countries. Shifa Foundation is collaborating with international organizations to tackle the situation with a launching project in Pakistan.

Shehla Haroon, 49, resident of Rawalpindi, a city in the Punjab province adjacent to the capital city of Pakistan, is visiting Shifa Foundation Falahee clinic in Islamabad for her free breast cancer treatment. Ms. Shehla has one daughter and a son who have always accompanied her during her medical sessions for the last 3 months.

“It was a critical point when doctors told us about my suffering because we hardly manage hand to mouth but then a ray of light appeared which gave us a true strength and courage. I don’t have words to thank Shifa Foundation for such a huge assistance”, Ms. Shehla Commented.
