SUPPORTING FLOOD AFFECTED POPULATION OF MITIARI THROUGH CBT

Background: Shifa Foundation is providing a CBT (Cash based transfer) of 12000 PKR to cover healthy food expenses for malnourished individuals with the support of World Food Programme. The assistance is unconditionally supporting them for improved nutritious intake by the target beneficiaries.Shifa Foundation is providing the monthly payments every first week of the month post confirmation of the healthy nutritious intake by the M&E team during the last week of the month preceding the payment month. The 12000 PKR transfer value is a calculation of the one month food basket provided by WFP on the minimum required 2100 Kcal daily for healthy nutritious intake. Shifa Foundation is assisting 9,000 population/ households in three cycles.

Key activities to be performed:

• Coordination with the Government department and getting NOC
• Validation of the villages and profiling
• Needs Assessment Revalidation and reprioritization: 
• Cash disbursement
• Complaint Redressal

Deliverables:

• To Improve children’s malnutrition status in Mitiari through healthy nutrition awareness and assistance via CBT modality.
