In partnership with UNICEF, Shifa Foundation is leading a project focused on the restoration of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in the Umerkot and Sanghar districts of Sindh, Pakistan. The primary objective of this project is to provide relief and support to those affected by addressing critical challenges such as the increased prevalence of open defecation, scarcity of safe drinking water, and the heightened risk of water-borne diseases caused by stagnantwater. By restoring and improving WASH facilities, we aim to enhance the quality of life and well-being of over 200,000 people residing in twenty-two union councils within these districts. Shifa Foundation is committed to bringing about positive change and sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by the affected communities, ensuring access to safe and hygienic water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities for the betterment of the population.

Shifa Foundation in collaboration with UNICEF is undertaking a project to restore Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in the Umerkot and Sanghar districts of Sindh, Pakistan. These areas were severely affected by monsoon floods in 2022, resulting in significant damage to infrastructure and the lives of people. The project aims to provide relief to the affected population by addressing the increased prevalence of open defecation, scarcity of safedrinking water, and the risk of water-borne diseases due to stagnant water. The restoration efforts will benefit over 200,000 people residing in 22 union councils.

Shifa Foundation partnered with the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) and Unitaid to implement an advocacy project focused on COVID-19 in Pakistan. The project aims to create a supportive environment for expanded access to and increased use of COVID-19 testing by developing effective, evidence-based advocacy strategies. Through this collaboration, Shifa Foundation hopes to contribute to the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

We recently hosted a series of expert workshops with the theme “Transforming Healthcare Experience Through Safe Clinical Systems And Advanced Communication.” Over the course of two days, our distinguished guest speakers from the UK shared their wealth of knowledge, experience, and insights on topics such as safe clinical systems and governance, spotting a sick child, principles of palliative care, and advanced communication for inter-professional collaboration.
