It has become increasingly difficult for the limited number of doctors and health facilities to cater to the needs of patients. Moreover, the unavailability of health facilities in far-flung areas leaves many patients untreated and their diseases undiagnosed. Shifa Foundation’s “QURBANI CAMPAIGN”, aims to distribute Qurbani meat among the underprivileged families who cannot afford to offer the Holy Sunnah of Qurbani.

INTRODUCTION Shifa Foundation is national-level welfare and humanitarian organization that provides assistance to needy people in terms of healthcare/ treatment services, health awareness, food assistance, and clean drinking water supply. Shifa Foundation remains in contact with its stakeholders to identify needy communities and meet their urgent and long-term needs by engaging donors. BENEFICARY SELECTION CRITERIA Shifa Foundation carried out a rapid assessment in RWP/ISB & Murree. The assessment aimed to identify the neediest people for food assistance. The local elders were also identified as the neediest people in their community for food assistance. The assessment team visited different parts of the community to meet the identified those people and to assess their economic condition before registering them.
