Shifa Foundation in collaboration with UNICEF is undertaking a project to restore Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in the Umerkot and Sanghar districts of Sindh, Pakistan. These areas were severely affected by monsoon floods in 2022, resulting in significant damage to infrastructure and the lives of people. The project aims to provide relief to the affected population by addressing the increased prevalence of open defecation, scarcity of safe
drinking water, and the risk of water-borne diseases due to stagnant water. The restoration efforts will benefit over 200,000 people residing in 22 union councils.
