About Shifa Foundation

We wish to bring many good things to life.

Who We Are

Shifa Foundation is a non-profit organization working for uplifting the down trodden communities throughout Pakistan. Health, Nutrition, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Child Protection and DRR are the major thematic areas of the organization. Shifa Foundation is certified by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) and Economic Affairs Division (EAD). Shifa Foundation honours the contribution of its partners and their commitment to the noble cause to alleviate poverty, overcome malnutrition and health issues, improve quality of education and literacy rate, provide clean drinking water and improved sanitation, strengthen the coping mechanism of the communities and create an enabling environment for all.

Shifa foundation has strong community acceptance and donors trust due to transparency of work (good governance) and demonstrated capacity in implementation. SF remained in partnership with World Bank, WHO, UNOCHA, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, Concern Worldwide, Accelerated Action Plan (AAP), Nutrition International, Care International, Nutrition Sindh Program, Health Care Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Asian Development Bank.

Besides aforementioned institutional funding by government, International organizations and UN agencies, Shifa Foundation has also a global outreach of individual funders within the country and abroad to donate for charity and supporting poor and deserved families in terms of food packages, health, nutrition and education to elevate the living standards of underprivileged communities.

Continuous Professional Development

    1. Enhancing teaching and training that will inform and underpin intellectual innovation and change.
    2. Promote advancement in educational and research mandate.
    3. Foster and develop leadership capacity through its education and research programs.
    4. Engage in knowledge through networking and use of emerging technologies.

Urgent Response Services

Provide medical care, food, water, shelter, clothing, child-family reunification, and other critical/basic human needs related services to those individuals who cannot afford or access them otherwise.

Community Support Services

Empowering deprived, vulnerable and marginalized low-income individuals and communities through various community-based interventions including;

  • Supporting the development of safe drinking water supply schemes.
  • Supporting affordable and accessible skills development education systems and programs for children and the youth. Supporting the development of sanitation and sewerage systems.
  • Supporting Livelihood Programs for lowest income individuals particularly women or children heading households, widows, and orphans.


Shifa Foundation is closely connected with the communities at grassroots level as well government and partners at advocacy level to bring a positive social change and reshape the lives of disadvantaged communities. Following are some of the examples;
